Need help wiring a map light from my Sound Bar in a 1997 Jeep Wrangler SE?
Hello everyone. I just bought a Sound Bar from my buddy that was not wired. I installed a couple Pioneer 6.5" in it, and wired those just fine. Now I am trying to wire the map light, and have no idea what or where to wire it into. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! ac.
I did the same thing on my YJ. I ran the wire down the drivers side roll bar, inserted the wire into the wire harness that runs under the drivers side sil plate and attached it to the door light actuator switch inside the door jam, which turns the light on and off when the door is opened or closed.
If you want to be able to turn it on and off manually, you'll have to connect to the light switch or the fuse box. The fuse box has a couple of open fuse slots that you can insert a new fuse and run power, but if you're not a pro at auto electrical, have a garage do it to be safe!
