Pen Hard
what are the odds that you lose all of your information in hard drives, pen drive, dvd's, etc?

What i mean, is that i've read in manuals that, for example, don't put your pen drive near a magnetic source, stuff like that, so if one day there's a magnetic discharge (i'm inventing this) you lose all of your loved information like photos, or other stuff. So it is safe to have your life information in a digital device, or maybe it's better to keep it in old good paper, i'm just checking the pros and cons. A technical response would be greatly appreciated.

Typically hard drives are grounded on the metal casing of a computer and are not vulnerable to static charge. USB flash drives are not vulnerable to static charge nor are DVDs, though water and improper care can make short work of them all.
