Canon ImageClass MF6550 - The Heavy-Duty Small Business Printer

Canon has produced the imageClass MF6550 to improve the productivity and cost effectiveness of the modern office. This single machine combines the features of a monochrome laser printer, color scanner and digital copier along with a fax machine into one attractive package. A 500 sheet paper tray provides printing stock for the MF6550. This tray holds a full ream of paper. The automatic document feeder will hold 50 originals and can reproduce them in full duplex mode. The best toner for this printer is the ImageClass MF6550 cartridge.

The MF6550 can be used in Windows, Linux and Mac OS environments. This versatility is invaluable to any office. Versatility and dependability insure that the MF6550 provides quality to any office. Additionally the high quality output of the MF6550 when combined with high speed output insures that the MF6550 will be available to all in the office with minimum down time.

In addition to the main paper tray that holds a full ream of paper, there is a 100 sheet capable manual feed tray. This tray allows for printing on transparencies, card stock, labels and envelopes. When printing at 23ppm, with 1200 X 600 dpi resolution the copious supply of paper insures that even the most ambitious print job will be completed quickly and without worrying about running out of paper.

In addition to being a high quality printer/copier, the MF6550 is a duplex scanner. This ability built into the MF6550 means that documents do not have to be turned over to scan the reverse side of the document. Simply place the document on the platen and both sides of the document can be scanned automatically. The 50 page automatic feeder can feed the documents into the MF6550 and both sides of the page are available for scanning.

Fax transmission is accomplished through a Super 3G (33.6bps) modem. The speed of this modem substantially reduces the time required to both send and receive fax documents. Large incoming documents are easily handled by the MF6550. The memory for incoming documents will handle 256 pages. Lack of memory is not something that the MF6550 lacks for.

The MF6550 is supplied with the Canon ImageClass MF6550 printer toner cartridge. This cartridge has the capacity to print over 5,000 pages of text. There is no starter cartridge supplied with the MF6550. This means that you get 5,000 pages of text right out of the box and don't have to run down to the office supply store for another toner cartridge in a week.

Images captured on the color scanner can be stored and managed utilizing the NewSoft®Presto Page manager. This software simplifies storing and managing images. Paper text will be rendered into editable text using Scan Soft®, OMniPage® software for windows. Documents no longer need to be retyped in order to edit the document, add data or make corrections.

The imageClass MF6550 and Canon ImageClass MF6550 printer cartridge provides the office a highly capable time and money saving multifunction machine. Whether the task is printing, copying, scanning or faxing the MF6550 can do it all. The Canon toner provides large amounts of printed material without necessitating a cartridge change. Productivity increases and costs decrease when the office purchases an MF6550 which uses the best toner.
