Choosing the right professions to start earning gold in WOW
As all avid players of World of Warcraft know, Gold is an extremely important commodity in WOW. After all, without gold you will not be able to improve your character and purchase the equipment it needs to get stronger in the game. So, how do you earn the precious gold in World of Warcraft: the Wrath of the Lich King? This guide is written to help you do exactly that.
First thing is first: buying gold from shady websites is strictly against the WOW terms of service and it WILL get you banned. Besides, many of those sites will hack into the accounts of those who purchased gold from them in the first place.
So, now that we dealt with the wrong way to make money, let's deal with the right ways to do it.
Method number 1: chose a gathering profession for your character. There is a big room for profits when you opt to get one of these professions for your character.
Mining is one such profession. The miners mine the raw materials that the blacksmiths and engineers of the game use to create armors and weapons. You can mine iron and mithril at the Arathi Highlands. You can visit Eastern Plaguelands and the Burning Steppes if you want thorium and Arcane.

Another profession that's great for the gold seeker is skinning. The Stranglethorn Vale is a great place to kill creatures and perform quests. You will have plenty of skins to sell after that.
Next let's have a chat about fishing. It's a great profession to make gold with. This especially holds true if you fish for pearls. How much does a stack of black pearls sell? 10 gold. Gold pearls, on the other hand, sell for 30 gold. That's a nice sum right there!
Now let's move on to herbalism. If you want to earn the big cash, go for plagueblooms in the Eastern and Western Plaguelands. Another option is to try and get ghost mushrooms in the Hinterlands.
Don't forget that you can also mix your gathering profession with a service profession. That way you can use the materials that you gather for creating items.
2 professions that work great when combined are herbalism and alchemy. They work great together because you can create potions using the alchemy profession with herbs you collected with the herbalism profession.

Skinning and leatherworking also work well together. Skinning will provide you with the raw materials you need to make the armor with the leatherworking profession. Lot's of gold can be saved by going that route. Selling the items that you create will also make you gold.
